Leaf upcoming Nissan hatchback electric car will move closer to the real world, and far beyond the few boutique electric vehicles available to consumers today. Leaves will almost certainly be first in the next generation of pure electric cars from a large volume, a major producer of cars. It runs on batteries without any combustion engine or electric motor to supplement the electricity produced, and designed for specific drivers for everyday use. Leaves should be available to consumers in the United States before the end of 2010, according to Nissan.

Slightly larger than the subcompact Nissan Versa familiar, the zero-emission cars Leaf is excited with room for five and the cargo space is good. Secret Leaves, and probably the closest thing to a breakthrough, which was hidden in the battery pack. Except widely praised beats hybrid Chevy Volt to the market, Leaf will be volume-produced car first with a lithium-ion batteries. Now familiar in laptops, mobile phones and other small devices, Li-ion batteries has long been considered not suitable for automotive applications. Nissan, though, they have developed for that purpose together with NEC since 1992 electronic

Leaf battery is actually an array sheets laminated lithium-ion batteries made of manganese. Each rectangular sheet 12-by-10 inches, about half an inch thick, arranged in modules of heavy metal-encased total 395 pounds. Nissan says Li-ion battery has twice the storage capacity of any battery used in automotive applications today. They are in charge of and operate at a lower temperature than lead-acid or ni-cad battery, according to the engineer, and after five years of daily drain cycle, they remain 80 percent of its original capacity

The value of Li-ion battery is quite simple: It gives Leaves various plug-160 kilometers per charge, or check under 100 miles, in a typical urban driving cycle. According to Transportation Department data, 98 percent of all drivers Americans drive less than 100 miles per day.

Nissan is still a bit vague about the launch plans for the leaf, if it is called a leaf when it went on sale in the United States. The company says the car must be available to fleet customers in the second half of 2010, with general retail sales in key markets like California shortly thereafter. Nissan's next generation Li-ion battery, which is maybe twice the reach of the car, according to the company, could be ready by the year 2012, when the leaves should be available in dealerships nationwide

Guessing by placing a retail price between $ 24,000 and $ 30,000. The battery alone currently costs $ 10,000 to produce, according to one Nissan engineer. At the retail level, the batteries may be leased to the buyer leaves, so the cost is not necessarily reflected in the price of the car.

2012 Toyota Celica

                    2012 Toyota Celica
                        2012 Toyota Celica
The 2012 Toyota Celica is a low-cost sports car that is being working on jointly by Subaru and Toyota. The Toyota version is not confirmed for the U.S. market, but it is expected by industry experts to make its debut in 2012 for under $20,000.
                                       2012 Toyota Celica
The Celica brand was dropped by Toyota in 2005. When the vehicle returns, it will be a rear-wheel drive vehicle with a Subaru four cylinder engine. It will be a welcomed addition to the Toyota line-up which has been criticized for not containing any interesting, youthful cars.
                                       2012 Toyota Celica
Toyota already has ties with Subaru’s parent company, Fuji Heavy Industries. Toyota holds a 8.7% stake in the company, and Subaru already builds Camry’s for Toyota at its Lafayette, Indiana facility. It is rumored that Toyota is planning to double its stake in Fuji so that Toyota can gain access to Subaru’s engine and all-wheel drive technology.
                                        2012 Toyota Celica
The 2012 Toyota Celica is rumored to be a sloped-roof hatchback. It will probably be set-up as a four-passenger vehicle with a tight rear seat package. It is not clear which engine will be used for the new Celica. Some reports suggest the 1.5L Impreza engine will be used, while others think the Celica will come with a larger 2.0L or 2.5L engine. Subaru’s 2.5L engine is already certified to U.S. emissions requirements, so this second rumor does have some weight to it.
                                       2012 Toyota Celica
It is expected that no matter which base engine does finally go into the Celica that it will deliver 170 to 175 horsepower. Also, the entire vehicle will have a weight target of 2,425 pounds to help improve the engine’s performance and keep the fuel usage down. The base engine will likely be coupled with a six-speed manual and an optional automatic transmission. There is also talk of a premium turbocharged engine in the plans that will deliver 300 horsepower.
                                          2012 Toyota Celica
The 2012 Toyota Celica is expected to come standard with antilock brakes, side airbags, and air conditioning.Competition in the sporty but affordable segment is likely to be fierce in the 2012 time frame. The Honda Civic, Mazda 3, and BMW Mini are all likely to be direct competitors for the 2012 Toyota Celica. One thing is for certain, though. If this Subaru-Toyota venture does go into production, it will provide a nice addition to Toyota’s U.S. line-up

                                         2012 Toyota Celica
2012 Toyota Celica Release Date: The production of the car is most likely to start in late 2011. The car is most likely to be launched first in Japan then US. The US versions for 2012 Toyota Celica is likely to arrive early in 2012.
